The Reiss Motivation Profile (RMP) is a standardized assessment of 16 empirically derived lifelong motives called acceptance, curiosity, eating, family, honor, idealism, independence, order, physical activity, power, romance, saving, social contact, status, tranquility, and vengeance. Although everybody embraces all 16 needs, individuals prioritize them differently. Emeritus Professor Steven Reiss´s model holds that individual differences in prioritizations these human needs, as assessed by the RMP, motivates numerous personality traits and may predict a wide range of behavior in real-world contexts.
